plugin for creating character animation, which is compatible with Modo 13.<\/p>\r\n<p>This update includes multiple improvements such as new functionality to easily customize rigs and functional enhancements to augment productivity.\r\nRegistered users of CharacterBox can download this update for free.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2>New Functionality<\/h2>\r\n<h3>Support for Scaling Rigs<\/h3>\r\n<p>CBOX 1.0.0 only supported translations and rotations when matching joint positions to models, but scaling can now also be used with version 1.2.0.\r\nSince it is possible to create CBOX preset rigs and scale RootItems and skeletons, it is now easy to set rigs to models with different sizes.<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"ratio ratio-16x9\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" Strength<\/h3>\r\n<p>We added [Soft IK Strength] to 2DIK.\r\nSoft IK is useful for animations.\r\nIt mitigates the problem of extreme movement of joints when the joints start moving from a straight extended state.<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"ratio ratio-16x9\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ryOBkcXlyeM?cc_load_policy=1&amp;rel=0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\"><\/iframe><\/div>\r\n<h3>Muscle Support for Locators<\/h3>\r\n[Muscles] now support locator type items.\r\nIt is now easy to swing IK goals using jiggles.\r\nThis is useful for creating secondary animations such as the swaying of hair.<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"ratio ratio-16x9\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" Tool<\/h3>\r\n<p>We added the Mirror Weight Tool.\r\nThis tool works with Modo's standard weight maps so it can also be used to edit weights outside of CBOX.<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"ratio height=\"150\"><\/iframe><\/div>\r\n<h3>Improved Implementation of Rig Edit Mode<\/h3>\r\n<p>We remade Rig Edit Mode to work with the Tool Pipe.\r\nIt is now more natively integrated to Modo's tool functionality.<\/p>\r\n<h3>Symmetric Editing Tool<\/h3>\r\n<p>We added the Symmetric Editing Tool.\r\nIt allows bilateral symmetric editing of rigs and controllers using transform tools.\r\nThe symmetric editing tool can also be used with animations and supports adding keyframes to symmetric items with Modo 12.0 and up.<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"ratio ratio-16x9\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8s0FPRoxO0Y?cc_load_policy=1&amp;rel=0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\"><\/iframe><\/div>\r\n<p><small>*Rigs created with version 1.0.0 might not work with symmetric editing since they don't have symmetry tags.\r\nIn such cases, you can use [Add Symmetry Tag] to be able to use the Symmetric Editing Tool.<\/small><\/p>\r\n<h3>Symmetry Items Selection<\/h3>\r\n<p>Select rigs created symmetrically and items to which a symmetry tag was added.<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"ratio ratio-16x9\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/u-KlStFSBk0?cc_load_policy=1&amp;rel=0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\"><\/iframe><\/div>\r\n<h3>Add Symmetry Tags<\/h3>\r\n<p>You can add \"Symmetry Tags\" to allow CBOX to recognize symmetrical items.\r\nThese Symmetry Tags can be used by the Symmetric Editing Tool and for copy-pasting, improving convenience for customized rigs.\r\nSymmetry Tags can also be added to locators parented to a hierarchy under a RootItem.<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"ratio ratio-16x9\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" Size<\/h3>\r\n<p>Copy-pasting skeleton sizes is now supported.\r\nIt is possible to copy the skeleton sizes of multiple items between rigs of the same type.<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"ratio skeletons were always rotated according to IK goal rotations, but it is now possible to select whether hand and leg skeletons are synchronized to IK goal rotations.<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"ratio height=\"150\"><\/iframe><\/div>\r\n<h3>Convert FK to 2DIK<\/h3>\r\n<p>Moves the location of 2DIK goals to maintain the FK posture as much as possible.\r\nThis makes it easy to align goals when you wish to change from FK to 2DIK in the middle of an animation.<\/p>\r\n<h3>Remove Unused Nodes<\/h3>\r\n<p>Modifiers, groups, materials might remain in the scene when Modo's standard Delete key is used to delete rigs.\r\n[Remove Unused Nodes] can be used to clean up such unnecessary data remaining in the scene.<\/p>\r\n<h3>Support for Action Layers<\/h3>\r\n<p>The new action layers introduced in Modo 13 are supported.\r\nAnimations can be copied to action layers and animations using action layers can be baked.<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"ratio ratio-16x9\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\"><\/iframe><\/div>\r\n<h3>Network Rendering Plugin<\/h3>\r\n<p>We released a special plugin for network rendering.\r\nWith version 1.0.0, it was necessary to bake motions for network rendering.\r\nWith version 1.2.0, baking motions is not required anymore if the network rendering plugin is installed on the render farm nodes.\r\nPlease download the network rendering plugin from the <a href=\"\/user\/en\/\">PSOFT User Page<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Network rendering is possible when Modo was started in slave mode or headless mode.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>This plugin does not require setting up a license.
